Specialist - Contract Compliance

Reviews, analyzes and appeals all managed care denials, underpayments and aged accounts to ensure timely pursuit of payments by managed care plans and achievement of goals.
Reviews and analyzes managed care denials, underpayments and aged accounts for appeal to managed care plans in accordance with department standards.
Conducts appropriate follow-up on appealed accounts in accordance with departments policies and procedures3.
Requests and prepares all supporting documentation needed for all appeal and follow up actions.
Responsible to meet and maintain production and quality standards defined by department policies and procedures Experience Collection skills and knowledge of managed care contracts.
Two or more years business office experience, preferably in a hospital setting.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
