Our client is in search for a IT Guest Servicing Systems Engineer for a contract engagement with a major cruise line in South Florida. The scope of work will include:
1) Production support of shipboard Guest Servicing Systems - Interactive Television, Internet Cafe, Digital Signage (Way Finding), AffairWhere, SilverWhere and associated Hotel-Guest systems. Support tasks include managing the shipboard production tickets and resolving issues.
2) Will be assigned as resource for shipboard projects (upgrades, dry docks, NewBuilds, enhancements), requiring server/application builds in our lab environments and on site shipboard deployments
3) Participate in all phases of project deployment: Build, Stage, Test, User Acceptance Testing, Deployment and live support of application
4) Test and certify version updates received from system vendor ;
5) Maintenance and general ownership of application (roadmaps, analyze trends in support, etc.)
6) Responsible for carrying an on call duty phone and rotate with team mates.
Required skills/competencies:
Experience in supporting packaged applications ; Experience with Guest Servicing systems (this experience typically obtained in a hotel or cruise line environment) ; Analytical skills ; Incident/Problem resolution skills, Self motivated, Ambitious, Strong sense of ownership, strong communication - required
Preferred Skills:
Experience with MS SQL ; Some knowledge of troubleshooting network, security, and communication issues.
Knowledge of Unix; Experience with Apple OS a plus. Microsoft OS server and client.
Experience with Fidelio Cruise modules ; Cruise industry/hospitality experience preferred ; 2/3 years of field experience
Preferred Education:
Degree in Computer Science or 3-5 years of related field experience

35% travel required for shipboard projects/support - Domestic and International
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
