Location Miramar, FL (South Florida)
Pay rate; 30.00- 35.00 w2 or 40.00 c2c
Duration: 6 months -up to 18 months

Our client is in search for an Application/Generalist Support Engineer for a contract engagement with a major cruise line in South Florida. This position requires up to 75% travel. The scope of work includes the following:
Production support of all shipboard applications, working with several different technologies (SQL, Handheld devices, Windows/Linux/Apple platforms, etc)
This position will act as resource for several different projects (dry docks, NewBuilds, production upgrades, etc.,)
Participate in User Acceptance Testing
Test, certify, and implement version updates received from system vendor
Required skills/competencies:
Ambitious and Eager to take on new applications quickly
Willingness to take on significant travel projects
Experience in supporting packaged applications
Experience with mobile devices (Handhelds)
Must be able to adapt in a dynamic environment
Ability to produce support documentation
Analytical skills
Incident/Problem resolution skills
Preferred Skills:
Experience in the Hospitality and/or Cruise industry
Experience with systems such as Point of Sale (Revelation preferred), Time & Attendance (Kronos preferred), Property Management Systems, Security systems, Internet Cafe sytems, etc. Experience with at least one of these systems will be considered a definite plus.
Experience with mobile technologies (Apple, Android, Windows, etc.,) a plus
Cruise industry experience preferred
2/3 years of field experience
Preferred Education:
Degree in Computer Science
Microsoft Certification(s)
Apple/Linux certification(s)
Commensurate work experience Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
